Beginner boards are stable which reduces the possibility of falling in the water. Getting wet is always possible so a wetsuit is perfect as it reduces cold water shock and makes it much more pleasant when you stand back up on the board.

While you enjoy your first lesson, we always have a safety boat on standby to use should anyone be unable to paddle for any reason?

After you have had two lessons you will be able to hire a board to practise your skills locally. When you feel comfortable you could join a River Cruise which will be escorted by a safety boat.
